Angel Skye

Well….. it’s 5 years today that my beautiful gentle Skye ran free from her pain to Rainbow Bridge. Not a day goes past that I don’t think about my gorgeous Skye. A sweet girl, loved her ball and of course food. Skye and I undertook a 6 ½ month journey in which she battled so hard! She was too young to have went through what she did and she did it so bravely I was so proud of her.

She is never forgotten and will forever be in my heart!

You can read her story here: http://www.yvonnegrenfell.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/1.html

  3. I went to your web page for Skye. I wonder if cancer is more prevalent in merles and bi-s. My Ceilidh was only 7 years 4 months; she had mast cell cancer. Her journey with the disease was typical of those with grade 3 tumours, just 4 to 5 months from diagnosis.

I hope that Ceilidh and Skye are happy together til we meet them again.

  4. Skye was so beautiful. I'm so sorry for your loss. I went to her page and read the story. I can relate to the horrible shock of taking your pup to the vet thinking it is going to be nothing and it turn into a nightmare. A couple years ago I took my Scotty to the vet thinking he had the flu and my vet took one look at him and said he was going into liver failure and I had to rush him over to the emergency clinic. He came into contact with a lepto virus that isn't covered in the annual shot he gets. It was the most terrifying days for me as he was fighting for his life in that clinic. But thankfully he survived. We are still struggling with his health issues because his liver never fully got back to 100%. But we are getting better. I am so sorry your story didn't have a happier ending. My heart truly does go out to you.

  5. Thanks everyone! I'm sure all our angels are running free playing together.

So sorry to hear about Ceilidh another one who was too young :( It could be down to breeding genetics or something within the merle make up. I thought just maybe it was down to the tic, as it ws just after that she became unwell! There has been more no's than yes's on that one. We just never know:(

Good to hear Scotty pulled through at least you got him there in time! A good mum kowing he wasn't well. With all the TLC you give him will help him feel better :)
