I am still not that happy with Ellie's progress. I felt yesterday she wasn't putting it down any more than Sunday! I phoned the vet and was advised to give her another day and if no better she has to go in for a morning to get an xray done. Today she is moving about faster, however still pulling the foot up (which I am still no happy about) the good thing is she is putting it down for longer! Boy can she move on three legs! She so wants to play and is moving about too fast! She has been put in her crate most of the day, to keep her from bolting about! So at the moment I am waiting to see what she is like tomorrow and will make a decision then :(All I want is my wee dog to be able to play and go for her walkies.
Ellie pre-accident - playing as she loves to do :)
Sorry to hear that Ellie is making slow progress. I hope she gets better soon. It is so hard when they won't rest. She is such a cutie! Her stuffed toy is almost as big as her! So funny :) Sending healing energy your way!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that wee Ellie is still not comfy on her leg, cousin Brodie sends her get well soon wishes xx (you're right about speed on 3 legs, my first sheltie broke her leg and was v fast and clever at getting around!)
ReplyDeleteOh poor Ellie. It is not easy to keep an active dog still for even a minute. Brother Sizz send super healing licks.
ReplyDeleteShe is bored, maybe you can teach her sit stay, down stay with lot of treats involved. This way, she cannot move a lot and still gets treats? Also, you can stimulate her mind.
So sorry to hear that Ellie isn't improving much and she's a bit bored at home.
ReplyDeleteAs Lian's suggestions, some tricks at home and treats too, hope these keep little Ellie happy.
Thanks :) Think Ellie is fed up listening to "sit" "down" "wait" then Khanid comes over and does the commands and throws a paw or two in too LOL! I spoke with the vet tonight who has said if it was her she would hang off until Friday. I have total faith in my vet she is so good. She is walking better on it, however she is pulling it up still.
